Help Your Group Take the Journey Together
Use the Outdoor Crusade Group Leader app to guide, encourage, and walk alongside participants completing the 40-Day Reset Journey.
A grace-centered framework for keeping Scripture, prayer, encouragement, and faithful action at the center of the group.
Lead With Scripture, Prayer, Grace, and Encouragement
The 40-Day Reset can be completed personally, but many believers benefit from having others walk beside them. A group can provide encouragement, prayer, thoughtful discussion, and a steady reminder that no one has to make every change alone.
The leader’s role is not to pressure people, fix every problem, or have every answer. The leader helps the group remain connected to Scripture, protects a grace-centered tone, listens well, and encourages each participant to take the next faithful step.
Personal Discipleship and Group Support
Participants use the main 40-Day Reset app for their personal daily experience. The person guiding the group uses the separate Group Leader app.

Support for the Journey Without Unnecessary Complexity
Organize the Journey

Know Your Group
Record the group name, leader, start date, and participant names so the group stays organized.
Pray Intentionally
Use the prayer log carefully while protecting confidentiality and recording only appropriate information.
Lead With Grace
Encourage participation without guilt, pressure, comparison, or condemnation.
Keep Scripture Central
Guide conversations back to biblical truth, prayer, reflection, and practical faithful action.
Recognize Your Limits
Know when someone needs support from a pastor, counselor, medical professional, or emergency service.
You Do Not Need to Have Every Answer
A willing believer who can listen, pray, encourage, and keep the group focused on Scripture can help others walk through the journey.
- Pastors
- Sunday school teachers
- Small-group leaders
- Men’s ministry leaders
- Women’s ministry leaders
- Parents and family leaders
- Couples
- Friends encouraging one another
A leader does not need to be a professional counselor or have all the answers. The leader’s role is to encourage participation, point the group toward Scripture, listen well, pray, and help each person take the next faithful step.

Know the Limits of the Group’s Role
The leader app includes guidance for recognizing when someone may need care beyond what a discipleship group can provide.
- Do not attempt to diagnose or treat a participant.
- Do not delay appropriate professional support.
- Follow church policies and applicable reporting requirements.
- Use emergency services when there is immediate danger.
Know When Someone Needs More Help
The 40-Day Reset can help people reflect, pray, talk, and take faithful steps. It is not professional counseling, medical care, mental-health treatment, addiction recovery, trauma treatment, or crisis support.
Leaders should never attempt to manage serious medical, psychological, safety, abuse, addiction, or crisis situations beyond their training and proper role.
Follow emergency procedures, local law, mandatory reporting requirements, and your church or organization’s established safety policies.
