Statement of Faith
Outdoor Crusade is a Christian discipleship ministry rooted in the authority of Scripture, centered on the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and committed to helping people follow Him faithfully in the life of the local church.
God’s Word is our foundation and final authority for Christian faith, doctrine, and life.Biblical truth at the center of everything we build.
Outdoor Crusade exists to support Christian discipleship by helping people read Scripture, understand the Gospel, pray, grow in obedience, participate faithfully in a local church, serve others, and make disciples.
Our ministry is guided by Scripture. Personal experience, research, tradition, cultural trends, and practical wisdom may sometimes help explain or apply a subject, but none of them stands equal to or above God’s Word.
This statement summarizes the biblical convictions that shape Outdoor Crusade’s apps, articles, studies, group resources, and ministry decisions.
What Outdoor Crusade believes.
These convictions form the theological foundation for THE WAY, the 40 Day Reset, the Group Leader app, the Outdoor Crusade Study Bible, the Journal, and future ministry resources.
The Bible
We believe the Bible is God’s inspired Word, completely true and without error in all that it affirms, and the final authority for Christian faith, doctrine, and life.
The Triune God
We believe there is one true and living God who eternally exists as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—three Persons, one God.
Jesus Christ
We believe Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died in the place of sinners, rose bodily from the dead, ascended to heaven, reigns as Lord, and will return.
Humanity and Sin
We believe every person is created in the image of God and therefore possesses dignity and value. We also believe all people are sinners and cannot reconcile themselves to God by their own goodness, religion, or effort.
Salvation
We believe salvation is God’s gift of grace received through repentance and personal faith in Jesus Christ. Salvation is not earned by good works, religious performance, moral improvement, healthy living, or completing a discipleship program.
The Saving Work of Christ
We believe Jesus willingly died as the sufficient sacrifice for sinners, bearing the judgment our sin deserves, and that His bodily resurrection demonstrates His victory over sin and death.
The Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit convicts of sin, gives spiritual life, indwells believers, seals those who belong to Christ, and forms Christlike obedience, holiness, love, self-control, prayer, witness, and faithful stewardship.
Security in Christ
We believe those who truly belong to Jesus Christ are kept by God’s grace. Christian perseverance does not rest on human perfection but on the faithfulness of God who saves and keeps His people.
Good Works and Christian Growth
We believe good works are the fruit of salvation, not its price. Followers of Jesus are called to grow in obedience, prayer, holiness, love, service, generosity, self-control, witness, and conformity to Christ.
Prayer and Access to God
We believe every believer has direct access to God through Jesus Christ. Prayer should be practiced with faith, humility, honesty, gratitude, dependence, and submission to God’s will.
The Church
We believe every Christian should be meaningfully connected to a faithful local church for worship, biblical preaching and teaching, fellowship, prayer, accountability, service, mission, pastoral care, baptism, and the Lord’s Supper.
The Mission of Believers
We believe followers of Jesus are called to make disciples, share the Gospel, serve others, use their gifts faithfully, and live as witnesses to Christ in their homes, churches, communities, and wherever God sends them.
Christ’s Return and Judgment
We believe Jesus Christ will return personally and visibly. All people will stand before God, and those who belong to Christ will enjoy eternal life with Him.
Creation and Stewardship
We believe creation belongs to God and points to the Creator, but creation never replaces Scripture or becomes an object of faith. Christians should faithfully steward their bodies, time, attention, relationships, resources, and responsibilities.
Salvation is found in Jesus Christ.
Christian discipleship does not begin with self-improvement. It begins with the grace of God and reconciliation with Him through Jesus Christ.
We believe humanity’s deepest problem is sin and humanity’s deepest need is reconciliation with God. Jesus Christ lived without sin, died in the place of sinners, and rose bodily from the dead. God commands people to repent and trust Christ.
Salvation is received by grace through faith. Good works, religious activity, baptism, church membership, generosity, physical health, spiritual disciplines, or participation in Outdoor Crusade cannot earn salvation.
The Christian life that follows is a response to grace: believers learn to obey Christ, walk in the Spirit, love God and others, participate in a faithful church, and join Christ’s mission in the world.
Outdoor Crusade supports faithful local-church involvement.
Outdoor Crusade is a discipleship ministry. It is not a church and does not seek to replace the biblical role of the local congregation.
Under the lordship of Jesus Christ and the authority of Scripture, each local congregation is responsible for its own membership, leadership, discipline, worship, ministry, and mission. Qualified pastors lead and teach, and the congregation shares responsibility for the church’s faithfulness.
Outdoor Crusade resources may be used personally, in families, with a pastor or mentor, in Sunday school classes, small groups, men’s or women’s groups, and other appropriate church discipleship settings.
Two ordinances given by Christ to His church.
These practices do not save a person. They are acts of obedience carried out in the life of the local church.
Believer’s Baptism by Immersion
We believe baptism is for those who have personally trusted Jesus Christ and should be administered by immersion as a public picture of union with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection. Baptism is an act of obedience and does not save.
Remembrance and Proclamation
We believe the Lord’s Supper is a symbolic remembrance and proclamation of the saving work of Jesus Christ. The bread and cup point believers back to His body given and blood shed for us.
A Faithful Congregation
We believe local churches should order their life under Christ and Scripture, recognizing qualified pastoral leadership while the congregation shares responsibility for membership, discipline, ministry, doctrine, and mission.
Clear where Scripture is clear. Humble where faithful Christians differ.
Outdoor Crusade does not attempt to settle every secondary theological question on every resource page. Our materials are built around the convictions stated here while encouraging readers to study Scripture carefully and remain connected to a faithful local church.
- We do not treat personal experience as equal to biblical revelation.
- We do not teach that spiritual growth earns or preserves salvation.
- We do not teach that baptism or the Lord’s Supper saves a person.
- We do not present nature, wellness, healthy habits, or self-improvement as substitutes for the Gospel.
- We do not position Outdoor Crusade as a replacement for the local church.
- Where interpretations differ on secondary matters, Scripture—not ministry branding—must remain the authority.
The same biblical foundation should be visible in every resource.
Our theology is not intended to live only on this page. It should govern how Outdoor Crusade teaches, writes, designs, and serves.
THE WAY
New believers are taught salvation by grace, Scripture, prayer, church, baptism, Christian living, service, witness, and lifelong discipleship.
40 Day Reset
Scripture and prayer come first. Outdoor time and healthier habits remain tools of stewardship, not sources of salvation or spiritual power.
Group Leader
Leaders support and encourage people without replacing pastors, qualified counselors, doctors, emergency services, or the biblical responsibility of the local church.
Study Bible & Journal
Study tools and articles should help people read the biblical text carefully, understand doctrine, answer questions, apply truth, and teach Scripture faithfully.
